Commenting on his appointment, Alistair Dalzell said: “I am very mindful of the great work undertaken by Peter and the team and look forward to building upon this as SME Capital enters the next phase of its development. The opportunity of joining such a talented team, supporting trading SME businesses across the UK with cash flow driven solutions that will meet their growth and event driven needs is hugely exciting.”

Departing Credit Committee Chair, Peter Stevens, added: “I am proud of the team and the processes we have built helping borrowers across sectors up and down the UK get access to the funding they need. We have learnt a lot along the way, and I am confident that SME Capital is now ready for the next stage of its growth and development. I look forward to following the business as it builds on the solid foundations that we have created, under Alistair’s guidance and I wish him all the best for the future in the Credit Committee Chair role.”

Announcing the appointment, COO, Kate Kennedy Said: “Peter has been a fantastic servant to SME Capital over many years, presiding over book-building to date and dealing with the various issues the loan book has presented through the pandemic in particular; that too with his inimitable brand of rigour and calm. I am incredibly thankful to him personally for his support and direction to the team and the business as a whole.”

Alistair takes on the role of Credit Committee Chair from the 6th of June 2022.
