SME Capital completes its first deal in Scotland with Grillburger Frozen Foods funding

SME Capital is pleased to announce supporting Grillburger Frozen Foods Limited with their recent funding package to support their growth plans.

Grillburger Frozen Foods is a long-established wholesale supplier and distributor of food and other products across the Western Isles of Scotland, operating out of its warehouse and office premises in Stornoway.

Originally founded in 1972, the current owner, Sean Clark, purchased the business in 2019 and this friendly transaction has seen an expansion of the product ranges while maintaining the excellent customer and supplier relationships providing a critical delivery service across the Outer Hebrides.

Working closely with all involved, SME Capital were able to provide a bespoke 5-year funding structure to refinance existing term and acquisition debt and also additional working capital facilities to support the growth of the business.

SME Capital are delighted to support Sean, Ali and the team and we look forward to working closely with them going forward. “

Tony Cameron and Lucy Mosedale of Harper Macleod provided legal advice to SME Capital.

Stephen Paterson, Director of Quest Corporate, who structured an undisclosed bespoke lending package to assist, added, “Delighted to have worked with Kenny Hughes and his team at SME Capital to put funding in place to assist Grillburger Frozen Foods led by Sean Clark ,with their post Covid growth”.
