SME Capital and SME Ascend welcome James Shore as their new Head of Family Offices and High Net Worth

James has been in Financial Services since 2008, beginning his career with Close Brothers and moving on to Lombard International Assurance. Throughout this time, he has looked after the investment and tax affairs of High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals and families.

He has developed a strong network of professional intermediaries and family offices over the years and will continue to build on these relationships to assist them in meeting the needs of their business owner clients.

James Shore - SME Capital

Commenting on his appointment, James said: “I am delighted to have joined SME Capital to build relationships within the Family Office and HNW communities. SME Capital think about the lending space very differently to the rest of the market with long term relationships and bespoke structuring being at the forefront of the way they operate, much like the Private Client world I have come from. UK SMEs are the engine room of the UK economy and I am so excited to be a part of the team at SME Capital where the passion to grow this market is what drives them.”

James Kaberry, CEO of SME Capital said: “We are very pleased to have brought James into the fold. He has high calibre and a track record of execution on behalf of HNW and FO clients. This is a community we understand given our own founding and investors and whose corporate investment objectives we have wanted to support for a long time. In James we have the right individual to help them and I wish him the best as he leads the charge.”

For a committed debt investor of up to £15m for growth or event milestones, please get in touch with James.
